Tiwian Kendley made a go-ahead floater with 6.4 seconds remaining and the host Morgan State men’s basketball team beat (7-9, 3-0 MEAC) Savannah State, 89-88 (4-13, 1-1).

Zach Sellers made a basket with 5:31 remaining to give Savannah State an 86-83 lead but the Tigers didn’t make another field goal the rest of the way.

Kendley ended a four-plus minute field-goal drought for Morgan State with 2:01 left to pull within 88-87. On Savannah State’s final possession, Dexter McClanahan took an inbounds pass with 3.7 seconds left but his 3-point runner hit the backboard and bounced off.

Kendley scored 33 points on 13-of-22 shooting for Morgan State. He has scored 28-plus in all six of his games this season. Phillip Carr added 18 points with 13 rebounds, David Syfax scored 14 and Stanley Davis had 11 points, 12 rebounds and seven assists.

Bethune-Cookman 89, UMES 84: Ahmad Frost scored 21 points and Logan McIntosh added 17, but the host Hawks (5-12, 1-1 MEAC) fell to the Wildcats (7-9, 2-0).

Holy Cross 64, Loyola Maryland 57: Austin Butler scored all of his 12 points in a second-half run to help the host Crusaders (4-11, 1-3 Patriot League) beat the Greyhounds and end a five-game skid.

Chuck Champion had 16 points, Cam Gregory added 13 and 11 rebounds and Isaiah Hart scored 12 points for Loyola (4-11, 2-2).

Colgate 70, Navy 62: Sean O’Brien had 18 points and six assists, Will Rayman added 17 points and the Raiders (8-7, 3-1 Patriot League) beat the visiting Midshipmen.

Shawn Anderson led Navy (11-6, 2-2) with 21 points on 9-for-19 shooting. George Kiernan had 17 points and 10 rebounds. Hasan Abdullah added 12 points.

Women

Coppin State 62, Florida A&M 56: Genesis Lucas scored a game-high 24 points and Maraiyah Smith added 15 to lead the host Eagles (2-12, 1-1 MEAC) over the Rattlers (3-12, 1-1).

Morgan State 73, Savannah State 67: Braennan Farrar and Tykyrah Williams each scored 16 points to lift the host Bears (10-6, 3-0 MEAC) over the Tigers (2-11, 0-2).

Bethune-Cookman 55, UMES 48: Jordyn Smith scored 13 points and Tori Morris added 12 points and seven rebounds off the bench, but the host Hawks (3-12, 0-3 MEAC) fell to the Wildcats (11-4, 3-0).

Navy 70, Colgate 54: Hannah Fenske scored 19 points to lead the host Mids (12-3, 2-2 Patriot League) over the Raiders (4-11, 0-4).

Mount St. Mary’s 55, Fairleigh Dickinson 52: Juliette Lawless scored 14 points and Kayla Agentowicz had 13 to carry the host Mountaineers (6-9, 3-1 Northeast Conference) past the Knights (9-6, 1-3).

Loyola Maryland 77, Holy Cross 60: Stephanie Karcz had 21 points and 18 rebounds and Izzy Therien added 18 points to lift the host Greyhounds (3-12, 1-3 Patriot League) over the Crusaders (7-8, 2-2).
